We live in a stunning place. We don’t have to lift up our gaze very far to know the splendor of God’s creation. Despite the beauty, we also get caught up with the demands of our lives and if we get too caught up then it is inevitable that we begin to grumble. Church of the Hills is a Christian community of faith where we take the time to stop, lift our gaze heavenward, thank God for all that is given to us and encourage one another to walk with the Risen Christ. You are invited to join us each Sunday at 10:00 am. In the meantime, may you find the time to thank the Lord for the beauty that surrounds us.

“Life Between Alpha and Omega: Jesus is Joy”
Isaiah 61:1-4, 8-11
John 1:6-8, 19-28
Christians believe that Jesus is the Alpha and Omega. Alpha is the first letter of the classic Greek alphabet and omega is the last. Jesus was with God in the beginning of all things, He sits at God’s right hand now, and will be with God for all time. He is the beginning and the end — the Alpha and Omega. Our lives, our relationships, our culture, all that we know stand somewhere between the alpha and omega — the beginning and the end of all things.
The Season of Advent is the four weeks before Christmas and marks the beginning of the Christian year. In Advent we anticipate the coming of Jesus. We anticipate celebrating his birth and we remember that it is promised that he will come again. Isaiah and the Gospel readings point to a future when “swords will be beaten into plowshares” and the “wolf will lie down with the lamb.” The Word of God points to a time of peace but there will be hardship as we wait for Jesus to fully usher in his peace for all of creation.
Advent reminds and equips us to proclaim God’s peace in Jesus Christ to the World — a message that our neighbors, our family, our friends, and we are all desperate to hear. This Advent we will remember that we live between the Alpha and Omega and yes, there will be hardships but we are blessed with all that we need to know and experience the peace of Jesus Christ in our midst.
Each Sunday we will learn that despite hardship, we can find hope , peace, joy, and love in Jesus Christ.

Church of the Hills makes an impression on the community as many members are involved in a variety of different local non-profit/volunteer organizations. Through the years our members have changed the community in a variety of ways and continue to do so on a daily basis.
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation.
Our worship style creates an atmosphere that is both worshipful and meaningful to the long time member, while also being accessible and relevant to a first time guest. God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists and are involved in the choir. These disciples are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Take the opportunity to grow in understanding who we are in relationship to God.  Through
discussions, retreats, and fellowship, a variety of topics are available to explore including Bible and book studies, prayer, ethical issues and current events.
Small Groups provide a great opportunity to get to know others at the church. Small groups study the Bible, make shawls and offer fellowship through meeting and asking questions about theology or over a brown bag lunch.
Take Exit 252 off of Interstate 70. This is CO Highway 74. Go for 8 miles. Turn right on to CR 73. Continue for 1/2 mile. Bear right on Buffalo Park Road. Church of the Hills is located on Buffalo Park Road at the intersection of Highway 73 across from the Evergreen Public Library.
