Church of the Hills is a Presbyterian (USA) congregation founded in 1953. Presbyterians believe that God comes to us with grace and love in free and undeserved favor in the person of Jesus Christ who lived, died, and rose for us that we might belong to God, have eternal and abundant life in him, and serve Christ in the world. As Christ’s disciples, called to ministry in his name, we seek to continue his mission of teaching the truth, feeding the hungry, healing the broken, and welcoming strangers. God sends the Holy Spirit to dwell within us, giving us the energy, intelligence, imagination, and love to be Christ’s faithful disciples in the world. In our life together, we seek to receive and reflect the gift of grace in our worship, prayer, spiritual growth, and mutual respect.
Members and friends of Church of the Hills strive to open their lives to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ through the teaching and preaching of God’s Word and by reflecting the love and grace of God in their individual and congregational lives. They endeavor to value every person, recognizing that we are all gifted by God with very different perspectives, spiritual gifts, and passions for ministry. The goal is to encourage dialogue and friendship within our community of faith.
VISION STATEMENT We are a vibrant family of faith rooted in God’s Word, gathering together to worship and to be equipped to share the love of Christ with the world.
MISSION STATEMENT We come together seeking the blessing of the Holy Spirit, to be grounded in God’s Word and equipped to go into the world. We do this through divine worship, administration of the sacraments, spiritual fellowship, service to others, and proclamation of the Word.
