Cross Cultural Covenant Community is committed to creating a stronger connection between believers from different cultural backgrounds. They accomplish this through joint worship services, fellowship opportunities and education opportunities.  Cross Cultural Covenant Community provides college scholarships and liaisons for students that would otherwise face financial challenges in furthering their education. They host ESL and citizenship classes throughout the year.  During seasons of the year, they offer medical services, children’s programs, and other opportunities for fellowship, learning, and self-development.

The English language/Citizenship Ministry at Iglesia Presbiteriana de Valverde started in September of 2008.  They are in their 11th year!! Currently, they provide five different levels of English language instruction for adults, two civics and government classes for persons applying for citizenship, one in Spanish and one in English.  They have 22 volunteers with the adult program, 4 substitutes and 1 volunteer teacher on call to tutor junior and senior high school students who need help with math.  There is also a children’s program, from pre-school to middle school, and two members of the Valverde church help in the nursery. Attendance varies (depending on publicity) with 75-125 adults and around 25 children. Support comes from the Cross-Cultural Covenant Community church members and, during the last two years, from a grant from Montview P.C.  The program is free and open to the Hispanic community.

COTH joined the Cross Cultural Covenant Community in 2017.  We have several members who volunteer on Saturdays and assist with ESL (English as a Second Language) classes.  There are many ways a person can get involved in this ongoing program.

Participating Churches: First of Littleton, Shepherd of the Hills, Iglesia Presbiteriana de Valverde, Vietnamese Presbyterian Fellowship, Grace and Church of the Hills

Since COTH is a connectional church, a portion of our mission budget was allocated to the Presbytery of Denver, the Synod of the Rocky Mountains, and the PCUSA General Assembly to support a multitude of Church wide (local and international) mission projects.  The Love in Action Team coordinated three PCUSA special offerings annually, as well as regularly donates to PCUSA Missions and Denver Presbytery.
  • One Great Hour of sharing – promoted and received during the season of lent
  • Pentecost Offering – promoted and received on Pentecost Sunday
  • Peace & Global Witness Offering – promoted during A season of Peace (September) and received on World Communion Sunday (the first Sunday in October)

The Second Wind Fund is an organization that helps children & youth at risk for suicide.  In 2019, COTH donated 40% of their proceeds of the Pentecost Offering and 25% of their proceeds of the Peace and Global Witness Offering to the Second Wind Fund.  To learn more about this fund:
